In any activity involving close contact, hygiene is essential. The following precautions must be observed:
-
Generally, proper and usual habits of washing and cleanliness should be observed;
-
Hair should be kept washed;
-
Nails must be kept short and clean. Long nails can inflict painful cuts;
-
All articles of dress must be washed and clean;
-
Training with open wounds is not permitted;
-
Students capable of passing on any serious infectious illness should as a matter of respect refrain from training, and thus infecting other students;
-
If a student suffers an injury during a session, it should be attended to without delay;
-
If any injury involves bleeding, under no circumstances should training be continued unless and until the bleeding has been stopped, and there is no risk of blood being accidentally transferred to any other student.
